There are Canine By Law Officers about. Why are the people who have no respect for their dogs and the law not sought out and fined?? Witness the area on the northwest corner of the exit from the Mary Street parking lot and beyond, to the walking map for the town of Picton. Somebody with a good sized canine companion has an overloaded latrine there. Why does this ignorant or lazy owner think it is somebody else’s duty to clean up? POOP and SCOOP bags are cheap at the dollar store. There are also people who are guilty of the same offence on the road to, and IN the BEAUTIFUL DOG PARK!! Male dogs, even though it’s what they like to do, can be trained not to leave their marks on every UPRIGHT thing they come to when they are on a leash!!

  2. Marilyn says:

It is with great sadness that we have to clean up our neighbourhood from unsightly cigarette butts and dog droppings along with little packs of tied off bags of dog droppings.

People should be more respectful of our side of the roads, sidewalks, roadways and people’s properties. We are proud of our town Picton and wish these people that have to smoke and walk their dogs to have respect for everyone else.

It would be great if we fined cigarette smokers who don’t take their butts with them same as Dog Droppings in and on our Town of Picton.
