One For the Ladies Zumbathon raising funds for vital equipment – March 23

The event will run from 7 – 9 p.m. Two hours of intense exercise that you will love, with two qualified Zumba instructors, Wanda Anderson and Maria Calzado.

Registration will begin at 6:15 p.m. and the prize draws will take place at 9 p.m.

There is an option for participants to raise donations for our charity. This event is in support of the PEC Memorial Hospital Foundation.

A valuable piece of equipment required to monitor the well-being of a baby is a Fetal Monitor. This vital piece of equipment allows the maternity nurse and or doctor to monitor both the progress of labour (as it can record the contraction pattern) alongside the baby’s heart sounds to help ensure its well-being. The monitor allows the staff to read and interpret how the baby is tolerating the labour process by attaching belts to the mom’s abdomen. An additional future ability with a new fetal monitor is to have all the monitors the same within Quinte Health Care with a computer type component that allows Belleville’s Maternal/Child Department staff to read a monitor strip from Picton if a concern arises and a consultation from an Obstetrician is required.

Support for this event so far has been AMAZING!! We have not even really started marketing this event outside of social media and word of mouth. The response from the community in support of the PECM Hospital Foundation is wonderful!
