Zumbathoners raise $2,703 for PEC Hospital Foundation

 

ZumbaParticipants in a ‘One For The Ladies Zumbathon’ held Saturday at Wellington’s Essroc Centre, raised $2,703.95 for the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation toward the cost of a fetal monitor. “Thank you to B & R Promotions for hosting this fabulous inaugural event that was attended by 55 ladies,” says Anna Marie Ferguson, foundation executive director. “Also, a huge thank you is extended to our wonderful and spirited instructors, Wanda Anderson and Maria Calzado and all the ladies who participated in this fun-filled event.” Special recognition is given to Essroc, Picton Dental, PEFAC and Omni Homes for their sponsorship of this event. Businesses that donated prizes include; PEFAC, Regent Theatre, Huff Estates, Proctor Silex, It’s All About Me, Mayhew Jewellers, Avon, Karen Lambert, Added Touch, Subway, and Omni Homes. We were also helped in the form of discounts from Harmony Music and PEC Wine Tours and volunteers were Paul Holland, Megan Pounder, Flo Boyce and Leah Pearsall.

    It certainly was a fun filled evening. Everyone made this such a successful evening. I especially enjoyed the “Disco Section” ! Thank you to everyone who made this event possible and to everyone who participated, you are the ones who brought the excitement to the evening. Can’t wait for next year !!!!! It was great to raise money for our local hospital. What a great and much needed cause!
