Fugitive has ties to Belleville area

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad of the Ontario Provincial Police is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a federal offender wanted on a Canada-wide warrant as a result of a breach of their parole.

Barry Fry, age 48,  is described as a Native Canadian male, 6’ (183 cm) tall, 199 pounds (90 kg), with brown eyes, brown hair, and tattoos on his left and right upper arms.

He is serving a five-year, nine month sentence for robbery and armed robbery, and police said Fry has been known to frequent the Belleville area.

Anyone having contact with this individual or information in regards to his whereabouts is asked to contact the Provincial ROPE Squad at 416-808-5900 or toll free at 1-866-870-ROPE (7673) or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or call 911.
