With time running out for their Christmas campaign, the Prince Edward County CAS Angel Campaign has launched in the Benson Hall, Picton, office to meet the needs of more than 315 children.

Susan Rose, Chief Angel, notes there are still a number of angels on the tree who have not been chosen for assistance. This year, there is also a greater requirement for food donations.

The Angel Campaign office is open Monday – Saturday from 10a.m. to 3p.m. or call 613-848-7187.

Residents at Harmony House have turned in their shopping for four angels, along with lots of groceries.

“These two groups do this every year and they do a great job,” said Rose, who also thanks the Kinsmen Club for donating use of the space for the campaign.

Thank you, thank you to all the wonderful folks of our caring County! We have successfully, with everyone’s help, been able to put many smiles on our children’s faces and the warmth in their hearts, that Santa does exist! Please give yourselves a big hug.

Picton Kinsmen helped with 30 Angels again this year. As President of Kinsmen, I would like to issue a challenge to all the service clubs in the county. Pick up a few Angels and help make a child’s Christmas special.

Have now reached 310 angels as of today! Some still on the tree, please come in and pick one! Thanks

  7. Sandra Lockyer says:

It seems, for some of us, the more affluent we become, the more we shop for others who are also not in need.
Your post gave me the idea to choose an angel from your tree to “give” (as in photos of what’s been given in their name) as a gift to that “hard to buy for person” that really doesn’t want more “stuff” themselves.
    Thanks, County Live!

  8. Susan Rose says:
