Debbie Korzeniowski will be joining the Prince Edward Family Health Team this month as its new Executive Director.
“Debbie brings experience and perspective that will be a real asset for the PEFHT. We’re delighted that she’s joining the team and look forward to working with her,” said Dr. Helen Cluett, PEFHT President.
Korzeniowski has owned property in Prince Edward County for a few years and is looking forward to setting down roots.
“Joining and being a part of the PEFHT and a part of the County community is a wonderful opportunity for me both personally and professionally,” said Korzeniowski. “My enthusiasm to assist in primary care delivery is inspired by the tremendous reputation and commitment the PEFHT has for serving its residents.”
The PEFHT reports Korzeniowski has close to 20 years experience working in healthcare. Originally from Alberta, she held progressively senior administrative leadership positions and gained experience in negotiations, contract management and strategic alliance creation. She relocated to Toronto in 2010 and worked in the private sector, at Cancer Care Ontario in Cancer Screening and most recently departed from her post as Director of the Provincial Programs Branch at the Ministry of Health and Long-term Care.
She has an undergraduate degree in Cellular Molecular Microbial Biology from the University of Calgary, as well as a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Central Michigan.
Her first day with PEFHT is February 21.
Ronald Lirette was named executive director last February and left the PEFHT in August. He joined Hospice Kingston in October.
