Spring Countylicious launch silver lining in last blast of winter

Despite warnings of a last blast of winter, County’s chefs are focusing on hosting spring Countylicious with a record number of restaurants participating.

The 11th annual offering of tastes of the County’s finest three-course menus for a fixed price funs from March 31 – April 23 this year.

Pomodoro chef Lili Sullivan hosted a Countylicious kick-off event at the new Parson’s Brewing Company Monday morning.

“With a growing craft beer scene here in the County, we’re happy to be here today at Parsons. In addition to local wine parings, diners now have more options for local County craft beverages and should ask their server about what might complement their Countylicious meal,” sid Sullivan.

“To see 13 restaurants taking part is a testament to the popularity of the program and to the County’s culinary strengths,” said Neil Carbone, director of community development. “Countylicious supports local businesses during the shoulder seasons and we are pleased to lend a hand with the co-ordination.”

New Countylicious participants The County Canteen and Soup Opera, join charter restaurants Amelia’s Garden, Clara’s, Merrill Inn and The Hubb, along with Agrarian, East and Main, The Courage Cafe, The Drake Devonshire, Portabella, Pomodoro and Public School House at Jackson’s Falls.

It is recommended reservations are made early. To encourage weeknight dining, over the four weeks of Countylicious, a lucky diner will receive a Countylicious dinner for two certificate to be used during the fall event set for Nov. 3-26.
