Katnip Tea to raise funds for Loyalist Humane’s no-kill shelter

The third annual Katnip Tea, a fundraiser for the Loyalist Humane Society, has an exciting new venue this year. Organizers say the popular event will be held at Glenwood Chapel, 47 Ferguson Street, on Sunday afternoon, June 25th.

This year’s program will feature tenor Julian Gallo, aka Wally Williamson, vocalists Lenni Stewart and Lorain Sine, flautist Colleen Galway and accompanist Tom Dietzel.

A live auction, beginning at 1:30 p.m., will be held in conjunction with the tea. Auctioneer will be Adam Miller of County Traders. The Gallo concert will start at 2 p.m., with the auction resuming during intermission.

Tickets for The Katnip Tea are $10 at the door and will include light refreshments. All proceeds from this event will go to the LHS, a no-kill shelter that houses approximately 300 cats and kittens. Public donations are its sole source of funding.
