Family Day weekend fun began in Sophiasburgh on Saturday but outdoor winter carnival activities were curtailed due to warmer than usual temperatures.
The town hall at Demorestville was the gathering place for families, as planned hockey tournament and skating fun were shortened due to slushy conditions on the ice pad behind the hall.
Inside, there was plenty of fun and games, food and music.
Sunday, families attended special holiday weekend festivities at the Ameliasburgh Town Hall.
Fun included painting, games, a dress-up family photo booth, entertainment, free hot dogs, hot chocolate and cookies.
Family Day fun continues Monday at the Wellington arena, including free public skating, demonstration events from local skating and sports clubs, GPS scavenger hunt featuring the Millennium Trail and family games inside and outside
There is also a free Family Day movie – The Secret Life of Pets – at the Regent Theatre at 2 p.m.
